Ramon Aparece grew up in Cape Coral, Florida, where his parents instilled a standard of careful and consistent work from an early age. At fourteen, he began collecting golf balls from water hazards at a municipal course and spent extra time with the maintenance crew, asking questions about soil drainage, irrigation timing, and how Florida’s subtropical climate affected turf year-round.
After studying environmental science at Florida Gulf Coast University, Ramon earned certification as a Golf Course Superintendent through the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in 2008. He has since worked across residential communities, commercial properties, and golf courses throughout southwest Florida, specializing in irrigation design, soil health, and sustainable turf management.

Designing and auditing irrigation systems built for southwest Florida’s subtropical climate — where seasonal shifts require fundamentally different run schedules between wet and dry months.

Evaluating Cape Coral’s coarse sandy soils and building fertilizer programs based on actual test results — addressing pH, organic matter, and nutrient availability before choosing any product.
Turf Management
Applying golf course diagnostic standards to residential and commercial properties — starting with a property walkthrough, not product selection, and delivering written reports with prioritized recommendations.
Mentorship
Mentoring students entering the landscape management field, drawing on a career that started at fourteen on a municipal golf course and grew through GCSAA certification and decades of hands-on work in southwest Florida.
